Limited Warranty – Customer Information
GMG New Zealand Ltd (“GMG”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is committed to providing quality products and support. This Limited Warranty explains your rights and our responsibilities if something goes wrong with your Green Mountain Grill.
1. Warranty coverage
1.1 Duration and scope GMG offers its customers a LIMITED WARRANTY of three (3) years from the date of retail purchase. This warranty applies to all physical goods purchased from GMG or an authorised dealer in New Zealand.
1.2 What is covered This Limited Warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal use during the warranty period.
1.3 Proof of purchase To make a warranty claim, you must provide proof of purchase, such as a receipt, invoice, or other acceptable documentation showing the date and place of purchase. We recommend storing your receipt inside the Assembly & Operating Manual.
2. Normal use and customer responsibilities
2.1 Normal use “Normal use” means:

Using the product only as described in the official Green Mountain Grills instruction manual

Using the product in domestic, non‑commercial settings
-
Following all installation, operation, cleaning, and maintenance instructions
-
Using the product with appropriate fuel, power, and accessories as specified by GMG
2.2 Customer responsibilities You are responsible for:

Reading and following the instruction manual
-
Keeping proof of purchase
-
Reporting issues promptly within the warranty period
-
Providing accurate information about the issue when contacting your dealer or GMG
3. What GMG will do
During the warranty period, GMG New Zealand Ltd will, at its sole discretion:

Repair the product or defective part, or
-
Replace the product or defective part with a new or refurbished item
This applies where the product or part is found to be defective due to improper materials or workmanship under normal use and maintenance.
In most cases, the defective product or part must first be returned to:

GMG New Zealand Ltd, or
-
An authorised GMG dealer, or
-
By the original purchaser through the dealer
We may provide a new product at no charge or supply new or refurbished replacement parts depending on the nature and severity of the defect.
Replacement warranty period Any replaced product or physical goods will assume:

The remaining warranty period of the original product, or
-
Two (2) years from the date of replacement or repair,
whichever is longer.
4. Exclusions – what is not covered
This Limited Warranty does not cover:
-
Abuse, misuse, or mishandling of the product
-
Accidents, impact damage, or improper transport
-
Modifications, alterations, or unauthorised repairs
-
Improper installation or use not in accordance with the instruction manual
-
Problems with electrical power, including surges, incorrect voltage, or faulty wiring
-
Environmental damage, including corrosion, rust, or weather‑related damage
-
Cosmetic issues, such as paint, coatings, and other finishes
-
Normal wear and tear of consumable parts
-
Commercial, rental, or competition use of the product
-
Any product for which Green Mountain Grills has not received payment
If a product has been modified, altered, or used outside the instructions provided by GMG, the warranty may be void.
5. How to get warranty service
If you believe your product has a defect in materials or workmanship:
Step 1 – Contact your dealer

First, contact the dealer from whom you purchased your Green Mountain Grill.

Your dealer can often diagnose and resolve issues quickly.
Step 2 – Use online support

Refer to the help guide at greenmountaingrills.co.nz for troubleshooting and support resources.
Step 3 – Contact GMG New Zealand

If further assistance is required, email us at info@greenmountaingrills.co.nz

Provide your name, contact details, proof of purchase, product model, serial number (if available), and a description of the issue.
Once a replacement is approved, the required parts will be delivered to you depending on availability within New Zealand. GMG will supply spare parts in accordance with GMG policies.
6. Parts replacement and self‑service
All Green Mountain Grills are designed with user‑friendly components that can be easily replaced by the customer.

When you receive replacement parts, you can view step‑by‑step videos on our website showing how to replace them.

Customers are expected to carry out these replacements themselves.
This clause is included because GMG does not have technicians available for onsite service.
7. Product inspection and fees
In special cases, we may decide to replace the entire Green Mountain Grill/product if a defect in materials or workmanship is confirmed.
If the returned grill/product is found not to be defective, it will be returned to you. In this case:

You will be responsible for a $100 inspection fee, and
-
You must arrange pickup or shipping within 14 days of notification.
8. Shipping and costs
Unless otherwise agreed in writing:
-
You are responsible for the cost of shipping the product or parts to GMG or an authorised dealer for inspection.

GMG will cover the cost of shipping replacement parts or products back to you within New Zealand where a valid warranty claim is accepted.

If a claim is denied (for example, no defect is found or the issue is excluded), you are responsible for return shipping and any applicable inspection fees.
9. Limitation of liability and disclaimers
Green Mountain Grills’ obligation for defects in materials or workmanship is limited solely to repair or replacement as described in this warranty.
All express and implied warranties, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, are disclaimed to the fullest extent permitted by law.
We do not accept responsibility for:
-
Incidental or consequential damages, or
-
Any third‑party claims for damages against the retail purchaser of this product.
Some rights may not be excluded under New Zealand law. This warranty operates in addition to any rights you may have under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (if applicable).
